After being unexpectedly laid off from my "steady" university job, I learned on the fly how to transform my hobby into a business that replaced my old salary (multiple times over). What’s crazier is that I work less now than I ever did in the 9-5 world, I spend more time with my family and my income has multiplied!
I believe in faith first, family second, and worked with crazy diligence to create a photography business that works FOR my family, not against it.
For years now, my business has generated $20K+ months and surpassed the multiple six-figure mark. All the while, I worked part-time as I raised my two little boys.
It’s hard to believe how much my life has changed. I am able to spend A LOT of quality time with my family without the stress and uncertainty about where my next client will come from.
I BELIEVE THAT ANY PHOTOGRAPHER WHO IS WILLING TO WORK DILIGENTLY TO CREATE A BUSINESS THAT HAS A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THEIR COMMUNITY AND FINANCIALLY BLESS THEIR FAMILY SHOULD HAVE THE TOOLS TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.
I was born and raised in Virginia, just right outside of Washington DC, but I have lived in other countries and travel as often as I can! In the past, I’ve lived in Israel and South Korea and have traveled to Costa Rica, Czech Republic England, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Jordan, India, Australia, New Zealand and China! There are so many more places to see!
This is not my first business! My first business, I provided in home piano lessons to children. But for the last decade, I have thoroughly enjoyed photographing everything from weddings to high school seniors to brand clients! Now I am blessed to be able to share the lessons that I learned to go from laid off to a fully booked photography business with my ideal clients with photographers all over the world!
My husband, Jon, told me on our *first date* that he was going to marry me and that we were going to have two boys. Even though I thought he was crazy at the time, he ended up being right! We’ve been happily married for 13 years and have two rambunctious boys: Aiden & Nathaniel.
My heart lies with the street kids in Calcutta, India. We actively partner with Daisy Project which brings restoration and hope to those precious kids and their families through providing shelter, education, vocational training, and sharing the love of Jesus. You’ll see my photos of the wonderful work they are accomplishing on their website here. Being able to financially support those who were born into poverty is a huge motivator for me.

I'm an adrenaline junky! I love pushing myself to the limits and doing things that get me out of my comfort zone! Most recently, I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane! It was scary and exhilarating all at the same time!
